Mounting and compatibility

Use a compatible 3/8-inch x 24 antenna stud mount with adequate support and a suitable ground plane. Confirm the mount's thread, available clearance, and your vehicle's installation requirements before purchase. A matching thread does not by itself guarantee that every mount or vehicle setup is suitable.

This listing is specifically for the 3-foot black AUT300-B antenna, not the other lengths or colors in the AUT series. A mounting spring is optional; the existing product guidance recommends the SS3M medium spring for 2- to 3-foot AUT antennas. A spring is not listed as included.

SWR tuning and setup

Check and tune the antenna after installation using an appropriate SWR meter and the antenna manufacturer's instructions. Adjust the tunable tip to achieve an acceptable SWR across the CB channels you intend to use. Do not assume the antenna is already tuned for your vehicle.

Select compatible coax and mounting hardware for your setup. Route the cable without sharp bends, crushing, or unnecessary strain. The 1,000-watt rating describes the stated antenna power-handling capacity, not additional transmitter output or a guaranteed communication range.
